Yard Driver - Vacation Relief; CDL Class A

Kemps Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable full‑time CDL‑A Yard Truck Drivers to drive a truck or tractor at vehicle parking, yard or docking areas to move, position or park trucks and trailers to facilitate shipping and receiving functions. Transport trucks and trailers for repairs, as necessary, according to policies and procedures and safety protocols. May also operate a wash bay using all necessary equipment to clean tractors and trailers.

Keep the yard neat and orderly.

• Cover shifts for other Yard Drivers when they are on vacation or off work.
• Adhere to DOT transportation regulations and company policies.
• Operate wash bay equipment to clean tractors and trailers.
• Maintain yard organization and cleanliness.
• Use computers and technology necessary for the job.
• Calculate load sizes and perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Communicate clearly and effectively (verbal and written).
• Collaborate with team members and follow directions to meet deadlines.
• Be proactive in problem solving and adapt to change.
• Be punctual and follow through on day‑to‑day responsibilities.
• Read, write, and speak English.

Monday – Friday 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM. Schedule is subject to change when vacation relief is needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Tractor/trailer experience within the last five years preferred
• Must meet minimum age requirements
• Meet all DOT requirements
• Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements
• Current CDL (Class
  
  A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement required

• Understanding of DOT transportation regulations related to lawful operation
• Work safely, recognize sudden hazards, and adjust accordingly
• Use computers and technology needed for the job
• Math skills sufficient to calculate load size
