Local Ready Mix Driver - CDL A or B Required Sign On Bonus!

Responsibilities- Drive a truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
- Perform pre‑trip inspections of the ready‑mix truck in accordance with DOT regulations, checking fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes, and other driver‑operated controls.
- Fill the water tank before each delivery, using a rubber hose and ensuring all valves are shut.
- Use a map book and experience to take the most direct route, ensuring on‑time delivery and the desired slump within customer specifications.
- Maneuver the truck safely on often unstable ground conditions and observe customer equipment and site conditions.
- Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical admixtures, cement, or integral colors at the plant or job site.
- Place chutes from the fender or hanging rack onto the main chute at the rear of the truck for discharge; wash chutes and return them to their correct location after discharge.
- Wash the truck with a hose and brush after each shift, using an acidic solution when necessary.
- Communicate with dispatch via two‑way radio and a truck status signaling system.
- Call out each day for start time and perform a post‑trip inspection of the truck in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or management.
- High‑school diploma required, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Pass a Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical exam.
- Maintain a safe driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations.
- Ability to handle cash and make change.
- Diplomatic customer and employee interaction skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Maintain Department of Transportation Health compliance.
- Work hours:
10 hours/day, 4–6 days/week; frequent lifting of 50 lbs. - Tolerance of extreme temperatures.
