Staff Accountant – Expense & Budget Support

Location:

Marina One, 2525 South Shore Blvd, League City, Texas (On site)

Reports to:

Director, Corporate Analysis – Expense Accounting

Staff Accountant supporting expense accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and budget‑related activities.

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and expense reports with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Help analyze company expenses and support financial reporting across departments and business areas.
• Research variances and discrepancies and partner with team members to resolve issues.
• Assist with budgeting activities, expense reviews, and planning for future budget cycles.
• Support intercompany accounting processes and other month‑end close responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting teammates on process improvements and special projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Foundational accounting knowledge, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Internship, coursework, or early professional experience in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new systems and processes.
• Detail‑oriented, dependable, and willing to ask questions and learn from others.
• Experience with SAP or similar accounting systems is helpful but not required.
