As part of our continued growth and transformation, our client is seeking a Strategic Buyer to join their North America Procurement Team. This role plays a key part in driving sourcing initiatives, reducing costs, and maximizing the value of their assets while advancing procurement excellence across the organization.

• Build strong, value-driven partnerships with internal stakeholders across multiple cost centers and project teams
• Lead sourcing events from development through award, including strategy creation, bid management, evaluation, and supplier selection across assigned categories and business entities
• Analyze category performance and supplier data to support informed decision‑making
• Identify and implement cost‑reduction and value‑improvement initiatives within assigned categories
• Manage procurement activities within SAP, including Purchase‑to‑Pay (P2P) transactions such as requisition creation, purchase order management, and order closure
• Oversee procurement activities related to project Change Requests
• Execute supplier relationship management activities to improve performance and strengthen long‑term partnerships
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously using sound judgment and critical thinking
• Contribute to achieving local and global procurement KPIs and strategic objectives
• Support a collaborative team environment that celebrates shared success and drives procurement excellence

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field is a plus. OR Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 5+ years of sourcing experience in categories supporting industrial facility operations and maintenance, including:
• Civil and mechanical construction
• Electrical and instrumentation services
• Inspection services
• Painting and facility services
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of cost control principles for both capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and operating expenses (OPEX)
• Demonstrated experience leading negotiations ranging from simple to complex while maintaining sustainable supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, with advanced understanding of the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle
• Intermediate to advanced SAP knowledge, including P2P transactions, reporting, and functionality
