Job Description

Primary

Purpose:

Provide Tier II technical support for all technology systems district wide. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications
  • Education/Certification/Licensure: High school diploma or GED; college preferred.
  • Certifications: A+ certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Must pass CCISD Drug and Alcohol Abuse Standards.
  • Must pass criminal history and MVR driving record check as required by CCISD.
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette skills.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to an assigned PreK-12 Community.
  • Ability to understand operation of district standard equipment.
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret software and hardware manuals.
  • Ability to set priorities and handle multiple and complex assignments.
  • Working knowledge of implementing and maintaining software/hardware technologies.
  • Working knowledge of network configurations, topologies, and installation.
  • Ability to properly diagnose and repair enterprise equipment.
  • Ability to properly configure and troubleshoot enterprise applications.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing technical support to end users, preferably in an educational environment.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide Tier I and Tier II support for all district technology systems at the campus/department level as well as district wide.
  • Act as a technical leader and provide mentoring for the Computer Technicians in the assigned PreK-12 Community.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technology systems district-wide.
  • Work cooperatively with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues.
  • Provide support to district and campus events.
  • Provide regular updates and status reports to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Complete a written record of every service call.
  • Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  • Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
  • Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
  • Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  • Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  • Demonstrate proficient levels of technology applications.
  • Participate fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  • Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  • Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  • Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  • Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.
  • Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  • Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e., email, written, and verbal).
  • Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

Moderate standing, walking, bending, lifting and moving up to 30 pounds; unboxing and installing new items; prolonged sitting and use of computer; repetitive hand motions; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
