Position: Clinical Nurse, Outpatient - League City Radiation Oncology Clinic

The Clinical Nurse role in the Radiation Oncology outpatient department supports the delivery of evidence‑based care across the continuum of treatment. This area provides coordinated, patient‑centered services for individuals receiving radiation therapy and requires strong clinical judgment, efficiency in a fast‑paced clinic, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. As a Clinical Nurse, you will help uphold these standards while supporting patients and families throughout their care journey. The Clinical Nurse contributes to departmental operations, quality improvement, and resource stewardship, and applies professional practice standards to deliver safe and effective care.

The ideal candidate will be a licensed Registered Nurse with a BSN, at least three years of nursing experience in inpatient or outpatient settings, strong triage and workflow‑management skills, and adaptability in a high‑volume clinical environment. Oncology experience and certification are preferred.

Salary Range – Minimum $32.69 – Midpoint $50.48 – Maximum $68.27

Shift Timing – The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, with rotations between opening shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) and closing shifts (8:00 AM until the last patient is seen).

  • Participate in daily unit operations to meet financial and resource‑management goals.
  • Collaborate with the Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse Leader, and Nurse Manager to anticipate and address patient and family needs.
  • Foster peer relationships and provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members.
  • Communicate effectively with leaders, disciplines, staff, patients, and families to support optimal outcomes.
Innovation, Knowledge & Improvement
  • Apply new and existing evidence to clinical practice and support changes that promote efficiency and quality.
