Crossing Guard Team Leader
Assist with the daily operation of school crossing guards and oversee training and placement.
Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications- Education, Certification, Licensure: None specified; dependable transportation.
- Special Knowledge/
Skills:- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of or ability to learn district policy and regulations related to safety
- Demonstrated willingness to work with children
- Willingness to work outdoors on every school day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Experience: None specified.
- Perform surveys regarding requests for new locations to determine needs.
- Assist the crossing guard supervisor with observing the daily operation.
- Distribute uniforms and safety equipment to the school crossing guards.
- Provide written or oral reports as required.
- Provide attendance verification for payroll reporting.
- Adhere to district and departmental policies and dress code.
- Substitute for absent crossing guards as needed.
- Perform all tasks required to ensure safety of all the students of the district.

- Stay up-to-date professionally through selection of quality professional learning opportunities.
- Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.

- Participate fully in drills and safety exercises for safety and emotional wellbeing of students.
- Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.

- Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with stakeholders.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure goals are met.
- Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication.
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
- Mental Demands: Effective communication, maintain emotional control in stressful situations.
- Physical Demands: Standing, walking, bending; exposure to weather; ability to work in moving traffic.
