ResponsibilitiesAs a School Age Teacher, you will be given the tools, resources, and training to:
- Develop and facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs that ignite excitement, creativity, and exploration among School Age children.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment in compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures.
- Provide guidance, encouragement, and support to students as they embark on adventures, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging in our community.
- Create a warm and inviting atmosphere where campers, parents, and visitors feel welcomed and valued.
- Communicate regularly with parents, sharing updates, insights, and highlights of their child's experience.
- Guide campers through all activities with positivity, enthusiasm, and empathy, using positive reinforcement and appropriate discipline techniques.
- Keep classroom facilities clean, organized, and well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all students and staff.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, participation, and achievements, celebrating each camper's progress and accomplishments throughout the summer.
- Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
- This position requires comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the behavioral and developmental stages of children and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
- The ability to manage a classroom, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem‑solving skills. patience, flexibility.
