Responsibilities

As a School Age Teacher, you will be given the tools, resources, and training to:

• Develop and facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities and programs that ignite excitement, creativity, and exploration among School Age children .
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment in compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and support to students as they embark on adventures, helping them build confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging in our community.
• Create a warm and inviting atmosphere where campers, parents, and visitors feel welcomed and valued.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing updates, insights, and highlights of their child s experience.
• Guide campers through all activities with positivity, enthusiasm, and empathy, using positive reinforcement and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Keep classroom facilities clean, organized, and well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all students and staff.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, participation, and achievements, celebrating each camper s progress and accomplishments throughout the summer.

Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• This position requires comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the behavioral and developmental stages of children and knowledge of childcare licensing requirements
• The ability to manage a classroom, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. patience, flexibility.
• 9-6pm
