Requirements
Must have:- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- We need at least 8 years of direct cybersecurity experience, with strong technical depth and a truly hands-on approach.
- We require 5 years of leadership experience.
- We expect familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- We need expert-level cloud-native security knowledge, including the ability to manually review complex Kubernetes environments and troubleshoot cross-account IAM role assumptions.
- We expect a solid understanding of the Windows and Linux boot processes, memory protection, and legacy protocol security such as SMB and Kerberos.
- We require practical experience managing PKI.
- We need advanced Python and Go skills, including the ability to build bespoke security tools.
- We expect the ability to assess the security of Python-based AI orchestration frameworks such as Lang Chain or AutoGPT.
- We require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Preferred qualifications include CISSP, CISM, or technical certifications such as OSCP, AWS Certified Security, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- We define and implement security architectures across a complex environment spanning legacy on-premises data centers and modern multi-cloud AWS and Azure platforms.
- We establish secure guardrails for AI and machine learning deployments, including RAG pipeline protection, API security for LLMs, and monitoring for adversarial activity.
- We lead and take part in hands-on threat hunting, incident response, and vulnerability remediation.
- We build and maintain CI/CD security controls, infrastructure-as-code scanning, and automated compliance monitoring.
- We preserve architectural integrity and prevent drift by giving teams clear technical direction and guidance.
- We balance long-term resilience with near-term delivery by advising on technical debt, tooling choices, and security priorities.
- We translate complex technical risks into clear, actionable business impact for non-technical stakeholders.
- We lead, coach, and develop a high-performing security team while fostering continuous learning and technical excellence.
