Safety Sensitive Position WC - 7520 water or 7580 wastewater

Brief Description

The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair Brazos River Authority (BRA) water and/or wastewater facilities, equipment, projects, and grounds. This is accomplished by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment; troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining pumps, motors, blowers, and plumbing; checking plant parameters; entering data in the log books; calibrating and maintaining lab equipment; inspecting machinery and equipment; and performing general and preventative maintenance on buildings and grounds.

Other responsibilities include maintaining interior offices; performing grounds maintenance at facilities; maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment; and any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years' experience
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License and Good Driving Record
  • Approved Hazmat training is required within six months of hire
  • Class D Water or Wastewater license within six months of hire
  • High School Diploma - Awarded for the completion of High School.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $22.39 to 28.55 hourly. This is a non-exempt position.
