General Manager – Panera CAFE
We are looking for a dedicated General Manager to lead a popular neighborhood bakery‑cafe. The role requires a dynamic leader who will build a culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and manage all aspects of cafe operations.
Responsibilities- Build and nurture the culture of Warmth, Belonging, Growth, and Trust.
- Act as an ambassador for Panera’s Guiding Values and Behaviors.
- Own all aspects of leading, managing, and developing the team.
- Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, and people development.
- Lead ongoing training, coaching, and creative problem‑solving.
- Hire, train, and retain new team members.
- Manage team performance to meet cafe goals and quality standards.
- Develop subject‑matter experts within the cafe.
- Recognize and celebrate individual and team achievements.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality operations and service.
- Maintain and continually improve operational standards.
- Motivate the team to meet and exceed cafe goals.
- Adhere to cafe systems, processes, policies, and regulations.
- Ensure food safety and a healthy, safe workplace.
- Grow sales, maximize profitability, and manage associate labor.
- Maintain cafe costs and inventory.
- Three years management experience (preferred).
- Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach, and develop others in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive positive results and run great shifts.
- Understanding of the business and Serv Safe certification.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with people.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Commitment to health and food safety.
