CNC Machinist, Machine Operator, Manufacturing Production, Manufacturing Engineer
We are looking for a CNC Machinist capable of supporting both CNC milling and turning operations. This position targets skilled technicians who can perform setup, make program adjustments, maintain high tolerances, and ensure consistent part quality in a production environment. This is an opportunity to move beyond basic machine operation and take ownership of setups, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
CoreResponsibilities
- Perform full setups on CNC vertical machining centers and CNC turning centers
- Load, edit, and adjust G & M code at the control when necessary
- Edit programs from higher-level CAM outputs to improve efficiency
- Work from engineering drawings, models, and machining strategy
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring tools
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to validate part quality
- Ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with engineering/programming teams to improve machining processes
- CNC mills and turning centers with multi-axis capability
- Haas controls
- Mix of 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining
- Production-focused environment emphasizing precision and repeatability
- Proven CNC machining experience with mills, lathes, or both
- Strong setup background (tooling, offsets, fixture alignment)
- Experience operating Haas CNC controls
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Comfortable making program edits at the machine
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and machining fundamentals
- Experience working with Mastercam
- Multi-axis machining exposure (4th or 5th axis)
- Background in high-mix or precision manufacturing environments
- Demonstrates ownership of setup and part quality
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Understands machining strategy rather than strictly operating equipment
- Contributes to a stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment
