Job Summary
The NP Surgical Specialty - Non-Operative is a licensed, certified, non‑physician healthcare provider who actively renders direct patient care and possesses delegated prescriptive authority, is credentialed and privileged, and whose service is billed as an independent billing provider. The Advanced Practice Provider delivers medical care based upon the scope of practice as delineated by the supervising physician. No call. Office hours Monday‑Friday.
Will work at Round Rock and Cedar Park locations.
- Assess physical and mental condition of patients by performing comprehensive or problem‑focused examinations and medical histories.
- Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe, recommend, and/or employ medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments, and perform indicated procedures in accordance with approved policies with attention to efficacy, safety, and cost.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive, outcomes‑based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Evaluate patient response to care and the effectiveness of treatment.
- Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, management of illnesses, medication use, nutrition, and health promotion, including drug interactions with supplements, OTC medications, and herbal remedies.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes; initiate timely consultation and referral when scope of practice is exceeded.
- Provide consultation level services for conditions related to the Provider’s specialty and level of experience.
- Manage patients in healthcare settings other than the primary clinic, such as inpatient or emergency services.
- Knowledge of techniques for diagnosing, treating, and preventing injuries, diseases, and deformities.
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunction.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in computer and related software applications.
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive, outcomes‑based treatment plans.
- Ability to counsel patients on medical and psychological conditions, treatment plans, and behavior modification.
- Ability to interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.
- Texas RN licensure or RN licensure with compact privilege, or Texas APRN license.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Certification from an accredited board as an APRN for the patient population of focus.

Graduate of an accredited program. - Experience:
