Overview
Leander Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team in our new state‑of‑the‑art 8,000‑sq‑ft facility in Leander. Our busy five‑doctor veterinary practice is looking for a friendly, organized, and responsible full‑time technician.
Our motto is “Where pets are family.” This position collaborates closely with the veterinarians on staff and with our clients to ensure the highest level of pet care. The Technician will assist in all veterinary services and fundamentals to ensure all services are provided prior to the pet(s) leaving the hospital. Duties include, but are not limited to, dental cleanings, assisting with surgeries, tech rooms, animal restraint, client education, and laboratory testing.
Must have knowledge of vaccination schedules and be able to perform a variety of medical procedures directed by the veterinarian.

- General cleaning and hospital maintenance
- Maintaining medical and lab equipment
- Ability to monitor/assist in surgical procedures
- Collect and prepare samples for in‑house and reference lab
- Monitor and perform routine treatment on hospital patients
- Placement of IV catheter and administer IV, IM, and SQ medications
- Ability to take and assist with radiographs
- Administer first aid for emergencies
- Administer medication and treatments
- Provide any other general support to the veterinarian and other hospital employees as needed
- This job requires some day shifts, evening shifts, weekend shifts, and holiday shifts.
Must have veterinary experience, exemplary customer service, ability to learn and adapt quickly, multi‑task, and maintain a positive attitude. Avimark experience is a PLUS!
Pay & HoursPay: $19–$24 per hour
Expected hours: 35–40 per week
