This position is based in our dynamic restaurant environment in Ocala, FL, and is not eligible for remote work. The ideal candidate for the Front of House Team will be responsible for ensuring that each guest receives prompt, professional, friendly, and courteous service. Duties and Responsibilities Greet and seat guests upon arrival, providing them with menus and answering any initial questions.

Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and timely preparation of orders.

Stay informed about the current menu offerings, including any seasonal specials or changes.

Ensure tables are cleared, cleaned, and properly set for new guests in a timely and efficient manner.

Handle guest transactions including the processing of cash, credit cards, and mobile payments securely while keeping an organized cash drawer.

Accurately enter dine-in, to-go, and delivery orders into the restaurant's POS system, ensuring any modifications are communicated effectively.

Answer guests' questions regarding menu items, potential food allergies, and seasonal promotions with informed and thoughtful answers.

Double-check orders for accuracy and proper packaging before handing them over to guests or delivery personnel.

Resolve guest complaints with empathy and professionalism, ensuring their concerns are addressed satisfactorily.

Support other team members and engage in collaborative efforts to maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements Proven experience in a hospitality environment, particularly in a similar role within a restaurant or café.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.

Detail-oriented with a focus on providing high-quality service and maintaining standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, staying calm under pressure.

Basic mathematics and financial management skills to handle transactions accurately.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and general comfort with technology.

Commitment to adhering to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff.

Eagerness to learn and grow within the hospitality field, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
