Job SummaryThe Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of Journeyman Electricians, is responsible for the installation, start‑up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial/commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will follow the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work.
Responsibilities- Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of a skilled electrician.
- Demonstrate these skills and processes as on‑job training progresses by working independently or with others to complete assigned tasks.
- Learn and understand the importance of safety within the workspace and across projects.
- Learn about the various tools and materials required for electricians to complete tasks and projects.
- Maintain good housekeeping and organization in the work area.
- Properly utilize the required tools and equipment for each specific task.
- Have between 2-4 years OJT hours) of electrical work experience.
- Strong understanding of the importance of quality work.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others to promote efficiency.
