General Builder ​/ Carpenter

All works based around South London and Surrey areas

We are looking for an experienced and reliable General Builder / Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be confident carrying out a wide range of building and carpentry work, with a good eye for detail and a professional approach to working on residential and/or commercial projects.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

* General building and maintenance work

* First and second-fix carpentry

* Dorma installations

* Roof pitching

* Stud work, partitioning and timber framing

* Hanging doors, fitting architraves and skirting boards

* Roofing and basic repair work

* Plasterboarding and making good

* Fitting kitchens and other fixtures where required

* Carrying out repairs, alterations and refurbishments

* Reading and working from drawings where required

* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

* Working to a high standard of quality and health & safety

Requirements

* Previous experience as a General Builder / Carpenter

* Good practical building and carpentry skills

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Reliable, punctual and hardworking

* Good attention to detail

* Professional attitude and good communication skills

* Full UK driving licence would be an advantage

* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ/City & Guilds would be advantageous but are not essential
