CB Partners is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst who will play a key role in evaluating acquisition opportunities and supporting the company's long‑term growth strategy. This highly visible role will work directly with executive leadership to lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence, investment analysis, and transaction support activities. Focused on the front end of the acquisition lifecycle, this position is responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities, building investment business cases, conducting strategic analysis, and helping leadership make informed growth and investment decisions.

What

You'll Do
  • Evaluate acquisition opportunities identified by executive leadership.
  • Build complex financial models to support valuation and investment decisions.
  • Perform financial, operational, and strategic due diligence on prospective acquisitions.
  • Conduct scenario modeling, investment analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Develop acquisition business cases and present recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Prepare executive‑level presentations, reports, and supporting analysis.
  • Partner with investment banks, lenders, advisors, and other external stakeholders throughout transaction processes.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry opportunities.
  • Support acquisition strategy development and long‑term growth initiatives.
  • Assist with transaction execution from initial evaluation through closing.
  • Participate in special projects and other strategic finance initiatives.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation experience.
  • Experience evaluating mergers, acquisitions, investments, or corporate growth opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial and operational information and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of investment decision‑making.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and executive‑facing skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
Experience & Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategic Finance, Transaction Advisory, or another M&A‑focused environment.
  • Proven experience performing valuation analyses, financial modeling, and due diligence.
