Information Assurance System Administrator
Support a training program by ensuring security, compliance, and operational readiness of all information systems, networks, and training infrastructure used during Warfighter Exercises (WFXs).
Responsibilities- Perform system and network administration duties for data centers, including physical and virtual servers and workstations supporting Command and Control Information Systems (C2IS).
- Manage the IAVM program by applying patches, hotfixes, and security patches as directed by higher command.
- Ensure all systems remain compliant with security mandates.
- Support the RMF process by ensuring systems are built, configured, and maintained according to DoD standards, including reviewing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Best Business Practices (BBPs).
- Configure, operate, and maintain Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) servers to conduct regular vulnerability scans of network enclaves, both unclassified and classified.
- Report scan results to the Information System Owner (ISO).
- Assist technical teams and training audiences with resolving cybersecurity and systems administration issues during WFXs.
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network failures, and implement solutions to restore production capabilities.
- Administer access control lists and manage user account permissions for network and system access.
- Implement system and data backup procedures and develop recovery plans to ensure mission data and systems can be restored following an outage.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for servers, network infrastructure, and associated information systems.
- 5+ years of experience in system administration and information assurance.
- Experience with Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) and constructive training simulations.
- Experience with server operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux, virtualization software such as VMware, and cybersecurity tools such as ACAS and HBSS.
- Knowledge of DoD and Army information assurance policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
- Security+ Certification.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- CISSP Certification.
Applicants selected will require a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Secret clearance is required.
Range: $61,900.00 to $ (annualized USD).
