Estimating Manager – Structural Steel

The Role

As demand continues to grow, a well-established steel fabricator in Wichita, KS is expanding its estimating function and looking for a leader to help drive the next stage of success. Specialising in both Structural and Miscellaneous steelwork, the company delivers projects ranging from smaller bespoke packages to large-scale, high-tonnage developments. This opportunity offers the chance to take the lead of a small estimating team while playing a key role in producing competitive bids and supporting the continued growth of a rapidly expanding business.

• Produce high-volume structural & misc. steel estimates (hundreds of tons/week).
• Complete detailed takeoffs, bids, proposals, and RFIs.
• Lead and mentor a small estimating team (80% estimating / 20% leadership).
• Communicate with clients and negotiate scope.
• Coordinate with detailing, fabrication, and PM teams to align capacity and schedules.
• Work in Strumis, Trimble or Tekla EPM.

• 7+ years structural steel estimating experience.
• 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience (or senior estimators ready to step up).
• Strong fabrication knowledge (70/30 fabrication-to-erection acceptable).
• Ability to handle 200–400+ tons estimating volume per week.
• Must have Strumis or Trimble/Tekla EPM experience (ERP/MRP required).
• Willing to relocate to Wichita, KS.
