As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization, time management, and retailer relationship skills, representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the serviced stores.
Salary and Schedule Details- Starting hourly pay rate: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits including medical, dental, vision, etc.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- Variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours:
10–15 hours per week
. - Availability week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The role consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement
:
Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. - Holiday support

During holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, expect additional days and extended hours. May include working on the holiday itself, including weekends. - Department resets
:
May be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically notified two weeks in advance. Could include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration
:
Part of Hallmark’s field organization network; support other team members as needed.
This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy and urgency. Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. Push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
