Companian provides virtual care coordination for seniors, physician-referred and covered under Medicare. Each enrolled patient gets a dedicated care advocate who handles the between-visit work — records, appointments, medication follow-up, insurance navigation — so physicians and their patients stay connected between office visits. We're expanding into central U.S. communities where senior populations are dense and care coordination gaps are widest.
The RoleWe're hiring a Business Development Representative to build Companian's physician and practice network across a central-U.S. territory (e.g., Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Oklahoma, western Missouri — exact territory defined with the hire). You'll identify and sign primary care practices, geriatric and internal medicine groups, and other provider organizations with large Medicare panels, then help them onboard into the program. This is a relationship-driven, territory-ownership role for someone who's comfortable covering ground and building trust with independent and small-group practices.
WhatYou'll Do
- Identify and prospect physician practices, medical groups, and provider organizations with significant Medicare patient populations
- Build relationships with practice owners, office managers, and physicians to explain and pitch the Companian model
- Run in-person and virtual meetings to close new practice partnerships
- Coordinate with the clinical and platform teams to ensure smooth onboarding of signed practices
- Represent Companian at local medical association events, health conferences, and community touchpoints
- Track pipeline and activity, and report on territory progress
- Sales or business development experience, ideally in home health, senior care, medical device/DME, pharma, or a related healthcare-adjacent field
- Existing relationships with primary care or geriatric practices in central U.S. markets a strong plus
- Comfortable working independently across a wide geographic territory, with regular travel within the region
- Strong communicator who can explain a Medicare-covered clinical program clearly to physicians and office staff
- Self-starter who thrives without heavy day-to-day oversight
