Adoption Accelerator KS

We are seeking an Adoption Accelerator KS to join our team.

Starting Salary: $44,000 - $47,000

Sign‑On Bonus: $1,000 (paid on first paycheck)

Your role will partner with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) and the Foster Care Case Management Specialists to serve children with a permanency goal of adoption. You will make decisions and recommendations to ensure the safety and welfare of these children, assess program data to identify and resolve barriers to adoption, and demonstrate creative service delivery, strong time‑management skills, and excellent decision‑making ability.

As a member of the KS Foster Care team, you will work with five other team members and report to our Senior Manager of Kinship and Adoption.

• Provide services to children and families referred under the Foster Care Case Management Contract with the goal of adoption.
• Track and monitor key adoption documents and dates (e.g., birth certificates, adoption applications).
• Complete data entry of designated items into the Cornerstones of Care electronic client management system.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of families interested in adopting a child in the custody of the Secretary of DCF, including adopt‑only families, licensed families, and relatives assigned to you.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, or a related field (required).
• Master’s degree and licensure by the BSRB (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age and a pass of background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license in your state, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
