Kinship Family Advocate
Starting Salary: $48,000- $52,000 (Annually)
What you will do:- Carry a Kinship caseload.
- Professionally represent Cornerstones of Care to the professional and social community, including communicating with supervisors and administrators across agencies at comparable levels.
- Assist the family in cultivating natural and informal family and community supports which can help the family achieve safety and permanency for children.
- Ensure compliance with all DCF and Cornerstones of Care standards and requirements, as set forth in policy, contracts/grants, and licensing documents as it relates to assigned programs.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the families' needs which includes working after traditional hours and on weekends.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, criminal justice, human services, education, counseling or psychology.
- At least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening.
- A valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
- Two years of relevant experience in the child welfare arena.
