Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview

Vaco is hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist! This is a great opportunity and starting immediately! Pay Rate: $25-$27/hr.

• Effectively executes the company's processes and policies related to entry, validation, and filing/storage of payables invoices with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensures all payables are coded appropriately within the Company's accounting structure.
• Ensures all payables transactions have appropriate supporting documentation based on the type of transaction and nature of the expense consistent with Company policies and procedures.
• Reconcile large vendor accounts while investigating and resolving issues that are associated with the processing of purchase orders and invoices.
• Ensures discrepancies related to vendor (remittance address and payment terms) or payment information are resolved in a timely manner.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve reconciling items, transaction errors, and other discrepancies.
• Drive timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of financial information to meet specified deadlines.
• Recommend improvements, adaptations or revisions to the accounting system and procedures.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Accounts Payable Lead or Accounting Manager.

• Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and Accounts Payable experience.
