Responsibilities
- Scheduling Process:
Proficient in all aspects of the scheduling process for natural gas pipelines including nominations, scheduling, trade confirmations and allocations. - Accurately complete cycle nominations in an efficient and timely manner.
- Develop working relationships with counter parties that include an understanding of their business objectives.
- Act as a strategic liaison to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, pipelines, utilities, and suppliers.
- Understand contractual rights and types of services as defined by tariffs and apply those concepts to the scheduling process.
- Ensure positions are accurately recorded in trade management systems.
- Monitor and advise on pipeline capacity release opportunities.
- Communicate market information with trading teams and identify arbitrage and trade opportunities.

Skills: - Strong skills in problem recognition, troubleshooting and resolution capability.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and understand all impacts of potential solutions and provide multiple alternatives with sound recommendations.
- Recognize business opportunities and understand how to turn them into revenue opportunities.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and the impacts on scheduling.
- Comprehensive understanding of tariffs and counter party contracts.
- Team Support:
- Represent the group internally and externally with sound judgment; maintain a positive attitude and willingly take on additional tasks.
- General Duties:
- Successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines; show initiative and progress in knowledge and capabilities for all scheduling functions.
- Contribute to the team in an effective and positive manner; deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
- Perform other daily, weekly, monthly or special project duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- One plus year of Natural Gas scheduling or relevant experience.
- Understanding of the natural gas pipeline industry’s scheduling processes.
- Understanding of the commercial aspects of the natural gas industry with a comprehensive understanding of the commercial aspects of Tallgrass’ business.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
- Take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus on details, and follow work rules.
- Organize and prioritize daily work.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Be flexible and respond effectively to changing schedules, priorities, and urgent situations.
- Understand Gas Scheduling responsibilities.
- High level of concentration and good judgment under stressful situations.
- Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
- Job level commensurate with experience and skills; the position will be filled based on qualifications and group needs.

- Must carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
- Availability for gas scheduling coverage 7 days per week, 365 days per year; shifts rotate based on group need.
- Required to work on-call and non-traditional hours as needed.
- The successful candidate will clear a drug screen and a background check after an offer extends and prior to employment.

- The annual salary range for this position will be $80,700-$144,600/yr.
