Pipe Laborer

Kings Construction is a family-owned and operated heavy construction contractor located in Oskaloosa, Kansas focusing on Federal, State, and local government heavy grading contracts as well as meeting the needs of our agricultural community. We pride ourselves in our commitment to safety, family, and community. Currently we employ a range of 75-90 full-time employees and are seeking full-time Pipe Laborers.

Job Overview:

• Perform different labor tasks, including but not limited to, pipe installation, shoveling dirt and other aggregate materials, use hand/power tools, basic seeding labor, etc.
• Operate machinery such as skid steers and mini excavators; potential to operate heavier equipment as skills prove to advance, or as needed with entry-level machines such as off-road dump trucks and compactors
• Ability to work near busy roadways or in an underground trench setting
• Work well in a team setting
• Clean and maintain tools, jobsite, trucks and equipment
• Perform job duties in accordance with Kings Construction and OSHA Safety Standards

Requirements:

• 1 year of related labor experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials
• Self-motivated with a positive and productive attitude
• Ability to life 50 pounds or more
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a drug test and physical capacity test
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work 50+ hours every week
