Assistant Teacher

Hourly Wage:
Starting at $15.80/hr, with increases based on relevant experience and education.

We are seeking a Childcare Assistant Teacher to join the Leawood team at New Horizon Academy.

• Work a flexible, part‑time or full‑time schedule Monday‑Friday between 6:30 am‑6:00 pm.
• Demonstrate a positive work ethic and a team‑centered attitude.
• Show willingness to learn and grow as an educator.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Provide support to lead teachers, assist in classroom activities, and help shape the leaders of tomorrow.

• Meet or exceed state qualifications for the listed position.
• Have previous experience in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Meet the position qualification requirements as outlined by state department guidelines.
• Complete Applicant Background Study required by state regulations.
• Provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Have the physical abilities to perform required duties.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff, and understand state licensing regulations and company policies.
