Position OverviewThe Field/Office Engineer is responsible for assisting management in the supervision, daily planning, temporary structure design, and construction of unique and challenging bridge and/or heavy civil and marine projects throughout the United States. This role includes reviewing and understanding contract drawings and specifications, assisting in work planning, resolving technical issues, and project problem resolution. The position also reinforces Massman’s Incident & Injury Free Initiative in daily performance of work.

- Kansas City, MO
- St. Louis, MO
- New Orleans, LA
- Mobile, AL
- Be an Incident & Injury Free leader
- Work with the Project Engineer to develop and monitor RFIs and document and communicate revisions with project personnel
- Develop lift plans and work plans with applicable team members; coordinate with field leadership and crews to execute work per plans
- Develop and monitor transmittal logs for the project, including timely submittals for subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure timely delivery of permanent materials and proper performance of on-site work
- Maintain progress payments documentation for subcontractors, major material suppliers, and the Owner
- Work with Safety Supervisor to ensure Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) are correct for specific operations
- Perform, assist, or oversee project surveying as required
- Perform or assist with quality inspections to ensure all work is performed correctly
- Coordinate weekly quantities, time cards, and cost coding of work with the Project Engineer
- Assure project documentation is produced or accumulated on time
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Interest in working for an industry-leading self-performing heavy civil and marine construction contractor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Previous experience in or exposure to the heavy civil and/or marine construction industry
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to lead collaborative efforts
- Excellent grammar, composition, and verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 & AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Limited travel may be required. Relocation may be required in response to other opportunities.
