Job Description Summary

The Controller manages the day‑to‑day accounting functions of the corporation, analyzes current and future financial requirements, and provides direction and bottom‑line impact. The Controller oversees overall accounting and audit functions, financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring, including plan versus actual analysis, working closely with TIFEC’s Chief Financial Officer to manage the corporation’s financial strategies. The individual will also be responsible for economic modeling related to the corporation’s cluster strategies.

Monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial reporting; audit process and compliance with federal and state grants; economic modeling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analytical reporting based on generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Manage the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions.
  • Manage the audit process.
  • Manage federal and state grant reporting requirements.
  • Provide necessary information to TIFEC for tax return preparation.
  • Assist in strategic planning.
  • Create and maintain financial models and economic cluster models.
  • Review pricing recommendations and test against financial models.
  • Generate reports showing margin contribution, revenue vs. forecast and actual budget vs. plan.
  • Work with TIFEC to develop and maintain financial policies and procedures based on generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Develop and maintain financial planning and forecasting models and pro forma statements.
General Responsibilities
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in financial reporting.
  • Develop and execute project plans and hold regular stakeholder meetings to update project progress.
  • Respond to all requests from external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Comply with all company policies and proactively protect confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Develop weekly Progress, Problems, Plans (P3) reports.
  • Follow additional responsibilities as assigned.
