Responsibilities
Proactive sales, business development, and ongoing relationship involvement with prospects and clients for investment (brokerage, insurance, and investment advisory) services. Establish and execute a sales plan to convey UMB’s investment process and products to targeted prospects and clients. Develop and build long-term relationships with prospective clients. Partner with all members of the service team to assist clients to achieve and/or exceed defined long-term objectives.

- Fixed income and equity securities
- Managed accounts (e.g., mutual fund wrap accounts, SMAs, UMAs)
- Affiliated investment advisory programs
- Trust accounts managed by UMB Bank
- 7 years of financial advisor or investment sales experience
- College degree or equivalent experience
- FINRA Series7,63,65 or66 license
- State Life and Health Insurance license or obtained within 120 days of employment
- Clean U‑4 and knowledge of FINRA, SEC, and state & federal laws and regulations
- CFP or CIMA designation
- Knowledge of the financial planning process, including securities and trading, life insurance and annuity products, IRAs, and basic estate and tax planning concepts
- Ability to assess appropriate risk level for the client
- Strong communication and presentation skills for a broad range of prospects and clients
- Ability to manage client relationships and the full sales process
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Thompson1/Streetscape, and financial planning tools
- Knowledge of UMBFC or investment products and services
- Leadership, influence, and partnership skills within the sales cycle and relationship management
- Strong organizational and management skills, including coaching, teaching, and supervisory experience
- Active participation in community and professional organizations
- License and certifications as needed

Typical office environment. Travel required approximately 10% in assigned territory.
CompensationUnited States employees: $20,600 – $114,400 annually, varying by geographic location, experience level, and other factors.
