Senior Analyst, Payment Strategy

• Analyze Customer Payment Behavior
• Analyze large customer payment datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Investigate payment behaviors across payment methods, customer segments, and channels.
• Identify root causes of payment failures, losses, and customer friction.
• Develop Payment Strategy Recommendations
• Evaluate strategies that improve payment approvals while minimizing payment losses and fraud.
• Build business cases supported by quantitative analysis and scenario modeling.
• Recommend improvements that balance customer experience, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
• Data Analysis & Decision Support
• Develop queries and leverage Snowflake to extract, analyze, and validate data.
• Build financial models, dashboards, and "what-if" analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Use AI-enabled productivity tools (such as ChatGPT and Claude) appropriately to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, and problem solving.
• Cross-Functional Strategy Development
• Partner with Product, Fraud, Risk, Technology, Finance, and Operations teams to evaluate opportunities and implement strategic initiatives.
• Gather business requirements and synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
• Executive Communications
• Develop concise executive presentations that communicate findings, recommendations, and business impacts.
• Present analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Industry & Market Insights (10%)
• Monitor payment industry trends, emerging technologies, customer behaviors, and competitor capabilities.
• Evaluate new payment solutions and innovations that could improve T-Mobile's payment experience.

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related work experience OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
• 2-4 years experience with written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with business writing and building PowerPoint presentations
• 2-4 years experience with strategy and problem-solving experience in framing complex problems, identifying key issues that impact business decisions and providing data driven recommendations.
• 2-4 years experience data analytics and financial modeling.
• Experience in performing financial and operating analysis and reporting, including analyzing complex data.
• 2-4 years experience working with SQL and cloud data platforms like Snowflake.
• 2-4 years experience with consumer payments, fraud, payment processing, or financial services.
