In this in-person or hybrid position (on-site at least four days per week), you'll directly support our expanding programs serving students in SAILS and STEPs, making your specialized skills both essential and highly valued.

Desired

Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Educational Interpreter certification or equivalent
  • Experience supporting students with hearing impairments, communication needs, or non-verbal challenges
  • Availability for in-person or hybrid work (minimum 4 days on-site weekly)
  • Ability to assist in evaluations as an SLI-level interpreter
  • Commitment to collaborative work in school-based environments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and school events for students and staff
  • Support communication for students with little or no verbal ability
  • Assist in student evaluations and contribute to individualized education plans
  • Foster inclusive environments that promote student learning and participation
  • Collaborate with educators, specialists, and program coordinators
