OverviewA&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice serves middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms, focusing on improving operating results at portfolio companies. The Supply Chain group designs and implements end‑to‑end procurement and sourcing strategies that generate value and accelerate EBITDA improvement.
How You Will Contribute- Gain a comprehensive understanding of a client’s procurement organization and strategic sourcing capabilities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with growth and financial objectives, integrating forecasting, demand/supply planning, inventory management, and distribution & logistics.
- Lead supplier identification, approval, contract and pricing negotiations, and vendor relations.
- Develop implementation plans to drive proposed changes in procurement and sourcing initiatives.
- Analyze data, deliver findings, and lead teams to deliver results on time and with quality.
- Strong written, oral, and analytical communication skills.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
- Structured project management across time, team, and work‑stream.
- Initiative, critical thinking, and flexible creative problem‑solving.
- Client relationship building and presentation excellence.
- 10–15+ years of consulting and/or industry operating experience.
- Prior advisory experience with a top‑tier strategy firm or a Big‑4 consultancy (required).
- Deep industry expertise in direct materials (steel, resin, commodity chemicals, packaging, food & beverage, automotive, textiles, solvents, plastics, polymers, adhesives, pulp, IT).
- Experience in sourcing and procurement functions within manufacturing companies preferred.
- MBA preferred.
- Experience working for or with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies, managing direct and/or indirect categories.
- Track record of leading sustainable, high‑impact strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Exquisite fact‑gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
Salary range: $150,000 – $225,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
Full‑time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits suite that includes healthcare plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, AD&D, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary employer contribution. Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (pro-rated for part‑time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. Employee eligibility and benefit details are determined by role type and tenure.
Part‑time employees (under 30 hours per week) are eligible for a 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary employer contributions.
