Director of Estimating - Mechanical; MEP Construction

We are partnering with a well-established, nationally respected mechanical construction contractor to add a Director of Estimating to their leadership team. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for leading estimating operations across multiple regions and driving consistency, accuracy, and performance across the entire preconstruction function.

• Lead and oversee all estimating operations across regional teams
• Manage, mentor, and develop Regional Estimating Managers and Chief Estimators
• Standardize processes, tools, and best practices to improve speed, accuracy, and win rate
• Provide strategic insight on market trends, competitors, and pursuit strategy
• Partner with Preconstruction and Operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cost history development
• Evaluate and implement estimating software, systems, and technology improvements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Monitor workload, performance, and quality across estimating teams
• Support complex or high-profile estimates when needed

• 7+ years of mechanical construction estimating experience (HVAC, piping, plumbing)
• Leadership experience managing estimating teams or functions
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and the full construction project lifecycle
• Experience improving processes, systems, and estimating technologies
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with executives, operations, and project teams
• Strong analytical, communication, and strategic decision-making skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
