We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Control Panel Builder to join our growing automation team. You will learn to assemble, wire, and test UL 508A control panels that support industrial automation applications, working alongside experienced panel builders and automation engineers.
Key ResponsibilitiesHands-on panel assembly and testing
Wiring & TerminationRoute, label, crimp, and terminate per UL and company standards
Testing & QASupport quality checks and functional testing of completed panels
DocumentationMaintain accurate work documentation; collaborate to meet schedule and quality goals
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
- Mount components: breakers, relays, terminal blocks, VFDs, PLCs, power supplies
- Participate in ongoing training in electrical assembly, controls, and automation technologies
- Maintain automation department inventory processes and assist with automation projects
- Keep work areas organized, safe, and compliant with safety standards
Required and preferred credentials
Required- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or vocational coursework preferred)
- Basic understanding of electrical components and wiring
- Ability to read simple diagrams or willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety procedures
- 0–2 years’ experience in a panel shop, electrical assembly, or industrial wiring
- Familiarity with UL 508A and NFPA 70 (NEC)
- Experience using hand tools, wire strippers, drills, and measuring instruments
- Technical school certificate or associate degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Technology, or Mechatronics
