Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Outpatient Care

Location: Leawood, KS 66211

Pay Rate: $37.17/hour

Hours: Full-Time, 32–40 hours per week

This is a contingent full-time role requiring flexibility across clinic operating hours, including every other weekend and select holidays.

• 2–3 weekdays per week
• Every other weekend required
• Shifts ranging from 7–10 hours
• Schedule provided in 6-week blocks following a 3-week training period

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced LPN/LVN to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care in an outpatient clinical setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical procedures, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes.

This position is patient-facing and may require floating to nearby clinic locations based on operational needs.

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced outpatient environment
• Perform patient assessments, screenings, and routine clinical evaluations
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as appropriate
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures
• Support diagnosis and treatment planning in collaboration with providers
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support clinic flow, patient intake, and operational tasks as needed
• Advocate for patients and contribute to care coordination efforts

• Active LPN or LVN license in good standing (must be state-compliant; compact license must be primary state of residence)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room required
• Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Epic preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team-based care environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays
• Ability to float to nearby locations as needed

• Safety-sensitive clinical role
• Must be able to complete 3 weeks of full-time training prior to schedule assignment
• Long-term care, nursing home, home health, LTAC, or skilled nursing facility–only backgrounds are not a fit for this role
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced outpatient care environment

The LPN/LVN will provide hands‑on clinical care in a collaborative outpatient setting, supporting providers and ensuring high‑quality patient experiences. This role requires strong clinical execution, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple patient care responsibilities efficiently while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
