RN Surgical Services Liaison

The focus of this position is customer service. The nurse must have great communication skills, be able to access available resources, and solve problems daily. The role involves interacting with multiple departments and maintaining a calm, empathetic approach with patients and staff. The nurse will communicate with physicians regarding patient and family issues and facilitate patient flow in the Surgery/Perioperative area.

• Education:
  
  Graduate from an accredited nursing school with an Associate Degree in Nursing, Diploma, or BSN. Knowledge of AORN Standards/Recommended Practices and PNDS (Perioperative Nursing Data Sets) is a plus.
• Licensure &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current RN license from the Kansas Board of Nursing or an active compact license. American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required. CNOR and/or specialty certification preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Prior surgical experience with circulating and scrubbing.
