Position: RN PREASSESSMENT
Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is seeking an experienced Pre-Assessment RN who is looking for work life balance and a dynamic working environment. This is a part-time, 30-hour per week position, Mondays-Fridays; 9:00am-5:30pm (3 shifts one week, 2 shifts the second week).Job Function:

The role of the Registered Nurse in the pre-assessment area is to collect health information, provide instruction and educate patients prior to their procedure. This patient interaction may occur by telephone or in person but will be completed prior to day of procedure. The pre-assessment nurse is responsible for gathering outside medical records and collaborating with anesthesia to ensure the patient is an appropriate candidate for this facility.

Coordination with surgery schedulers, physician offices, pre-op, recovery, and inpatient units, as necessary, helps to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Requirements:1-5 years of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Kansas.

BLS required.
