Software QA Analyst

Kforce is looking for a Software QA Analyst for a client in the Leawood, KS area. The role reports to the QA Manager and focuses on ensuring high‑quality, customer‑centric web applications. Responsibilities include supporting all testing for Production and Staging releases and collaborating across development teams to maintain quality.

• Analyze user stories and use cases to develop, document, and maintain test cases and related artifacts.
• Execute system, integration, and regression tests.
• Detect, track, and clearly document software defects and inconsistencies.
• Assist in troubleshooting issues across environments.
• Design and develop automation scripts when needed.
• Utilize Selenium (or similar), Postman, and SQL‑based validation tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other team members throughout the sprint cycle.
• Provide clear communication and documentation to support releases and ongoing development.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and analytical rigor in all testing activities.
• Support ongoing improvements to QA processes and overall product quality.

• BS/BA degree or minimum 2 years of software quality assurance experience.
• Proven experience creating and executing test cases.
• Expertise testing web applications and services.
• Experience with Selenium or other automation tools (preferred).
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors effectively.
• Working knowledge of MSSQL and ability to write and interpret basic SQL queries.
• Experience with Postman and API testing (preferred).
• Experience in an Agile development environment.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving aptitude.

Pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Employee pay is based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, and performance.

Benefits include medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
