Summer interns work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students actively pursuing a degree to participate in the internship program.

The Depot Operations & Materials Technology Intern will support continuous improvement initiatives within CNH's depot and materials operations by evaluating the performance and integration of warehouse automation technologies, including Auto Store and Pick & Flow systems. This role will work closely with depot operations, materials management, engineering, and technology stakeholders to understand current processes, analyze system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, inventory flow, and operational effectiveness.

The intern will play an active role in assessing how these technologies work together and supporting projects that enhance productivity across the distribution network.

Develop a comprehensive understanding of depot operations, material flow processes, and warehouse automation technologies.

Analyze the interaction between Auto Store, Pick & Flow, and other material handling systems to evaluate overall operational effectiveness.

Collect and analyze operational data related to throughput, inventory movement, order fulfillment, productivity, and system utilization.

Observe current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance system performance.

Partner with Operations, Materials, Engineering, Information Technology, and Continuous Improvement teams to understand business needs and process challenges.

Document current-state processes and map material flow throughout the depot network.

Conduct root cause analysis on operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or integration challenges between systems.

Research industry best practices and emerging technologies related to warehouse automation, inventory management, and distribution operations.

Develop recommendations and business cases for process improvements, automation enhancements, or system optimization opportunities.
