Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m. (varies) | 5 x 10-hour shifts (10 hours/week overtime eligible) | Occasional weekends as needed
We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support a long-term, high-profile project in Lebanon, IN. This project will be 2–3 years in duration, designed for a safety professional who values stability, team integration, and long-term, not short-term contract work.
This individual will be embedded on-site and play a critical role in maintaining a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and executing the site‑specific safety plan across all phases of construction.
Key Responsibilities Safety Planning & Execution- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the site‑specific safety plan
- Carry out and enforce all aspects of the site‑specific safety program
- Lead and participate in safety planning meetings prior to major work activities
- Develop, review, and audit Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and pre‑task plans
- Conduct daily job site walks and safety audits
- Lead daily job site safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Monitor high‑risk activities and ensure proper controls are in place
- Partner with field leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
- Assist with accident, incident, and violation investigations
- Document findings and support corrective action plans
- Ensure timely reporting and compliance with OSHA and client requirements
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
- Work closely with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Serve as a visible safety resource and advocate on site
- Reinforce accountability and promote a culture of safety ownership
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 – Construction Certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices
- Experience leading safety planning efforts and developing JSAs
- Ability to work extended hours and occasional weekends as project demands require
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) or other BCSP certification preferred but not required
- OSHA 510 Certification preferred but not required
- Experience on large‑scale commercial or industrial construction projects
