The Safety Manager is one of the most important roles in our organization. This position assists in the development, coordination, and execution of Company‑wide and project‑specific safety programs and works to ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, vendors, and the public. The Safety Manager enforces the Company’s safety standards as well as local and federal safety laws and regulations. The incumbent conducts training for employees to develop safe work plans for all project phases and tasks.

- Prioritizes safety as the utmost importance and promotes a culture throughout the field that makes safety the primary focus for all employees at all times.
- Fosters and enforces a behavior‑based culture of safety while ensuring compliance with Federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations.

- Creates, develops, and implements safety incentive programs which reward targeted behaviors and results.
- Ensures safety and health training meets the needs of internal and external requirements (i.e., clients and regulating entities) so our workforce has the proper training to safely perform tasks and jobs.
- Uses a substantial amount of independent judgment and discretion to manage hazard assessment activities by (1) conducting and/or supervising safety inspections, and (2) analyzing inspection and incident data to identify opportunities to develop preventative and corrective measures.
- Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Uses independent and advanced logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions, and monitor results to make improvements to or take corrective action.
- Leads incident investigations, performs root cause analyses, analyzes and reviews trends, and develops and implements corrective actions and programs across the Company basis on analysis results.
- Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
- Present and executes worksite‑specific plans.
- Consults building codes, governmental regulations, and other emergency response agencies.
- Develops site‑specific emergency evacuation plans and other ERPs.
- Researches construction sites (e.g., reviewing blueprints, ventilation systems, lighting, materials, terrain, environment, etc.) to identify actual and potential hazards.
- Inspects safety equipment and recommends replacements.
- Reviews accidents and incidents reported by employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
- Participates in the Company’s safety committee.
- Builds positive and productive working relationships with clients to ensure client needs are met or exceeded.
- Provides best‑in‑class customer service to internal and external clients by addressing issues, questions, or concerns in a timely and proficient manner.
- Endeavors to stay up to date with emerging technologies and tendencies in the construction and safety fields.
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, clients, industry, and community.
- Maintains a “value added” approach to all aspects and phases of construction projects.
- Participates fully as a team member in building an atmosphere of openness, honesty, respect, cooperation, and accountability. Is visible, approachable, accountable, and available.
- Performs other duties as required by circumstances or assigned by the Director of Safety.
- Data Center Safety Manager – must be open to working on site and being stationed at the job site for the lifecycle of the project build timeline, 24 months.
