Field Engineer; Night Shift

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Field Engineer that will support pipe installation and process equipment setting activities on a large-scale industrial construction project for one of our construction clients. This role will be responsible for work package development, progress tracking, field coordination, and supporting construction execution with the pipe/equipment setting crews on the night shift.

• Develop and manage ~ Construction Work Packages, Installation Work Packages, Issued for Construction (IFC) Packages, Test Packages, and Turnover Packages.
• Conduct field walkdowns
• Track earned value progress and apply Rules of Credit
• Identify and track project constraints
• Generate and manage RFIs
• Support Change Order development
• Recommend workarounds for client review and approval
• Initiate ROMs (Rough Order of Magnitude estimates) with field supervision input
• Defend findings and recommendations with supporting facts and data

* Per Diem: $150/day, 7 days/week if assigned schedule is worked

Night Shift (5:00PM - 5:00AM)

• -13 days on / 1 day off
• -10-hour shifts
• -Alternating 60-hour and 70-hour work weeks
• * Overtime paid at straight time

• -Minimum 6 months
• -Strong likelihood of 12+ months

• -3-5 years of Field Engineering experience
• -Heavy industrial construction background

• -Experience with:
  Above-ground piping systems and

Process equipment installation and setting

• -ASME B31.1 and B31.3
• -P&IDs and Isometrics
• -Welding and Quality Control
• -OSHA safety standards
• -Primavera P6 and/or Project Scheduling
• -Microsoft Office Suite
• -3D modeling/software platforms
  -Construction Management degree
• -Engineering degree
• -Extensive applicable field experience may substitute for degree requirements
