Lead Construction Safety Manager

Location: Lebanon, IN
Duration: 4 Months (Start: Immediate Need)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $65/hr
Per Diem: $150/Day Worked On Site
Completion Bonus: $150/month
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Schedule: 40-50 Hours Per Week | Monday-Friday | 8 or 10 Hour Days/Nights
Additional Schedule Details: Two openings available supporting both day and night shift operations.

The Lead Construction Safety Manager will serve as the lead onsite safety professional, overseeing orientations, JHAs, observations, reporting, safety meetings, and contractor safety performance while working directly with the General Contractor, owner's representatives, project management, and craft personnel.

Required Qualifications
  • OSHA 510 Certification Required
  • OSHA 30 Construction Certification (Within the Past 5 Years)
  • Minimum 5+ Years of Construction Safety Experience
  • Previous Safety Management Experience Required
  • Experience Working Directly with Owner Representatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pharmaceutical Construction Experience
  • Mechanical Contractor Safety Experience
  • Process Piping or Industrial Construction Experience
  • Contractor Safety Management Experience
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or Other BCSP Credential
  • Experience Supporting Large Commercial or Industrial Projects
What You'll Be Doing
  • Serve as the lead onsite safety professional for the project
  • Conduct new hire orientations and onboarding activities
  • Review and manage Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans
  • Perform routine field observations, audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
  • Lead and participate in project safety meetings and planning discussions
  • Work directly with the General Contractor, owner representatives, and project leadership
  • Monitor mechanical construction activities, material handling operations, and contractor work practices
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
  • Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns
  • Maintain required safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
