BAS Healthcare is assisting with the recruitment of a Lead Hospitalist Physician to join and help oversee an established hospital medicine program in Indiana.
This role offers a combination of clinical practice and leadership responsibility, ideal for a hospitalist seeking professional growth while maintaining a predictable schedule and strong work life balance. Lebanon, IN is just 30 minutes away from the city of Indianapolis
Full-time hospital-employed position
7 days on / 7 days off schedule
12-hour day shifts
Mix of clinical care and hospitalist leadership responsibilities
Opportunity to influence operations, quality, and team development
Provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients
Manage admissions, daily rounding on medical/surgical units and CCU, and discharges
Perform ICU procedures and manage critically ill patients with pulmonology/critical care physician support
Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and care management teams
Support patient-centered care initiatives and efficient throughput
Serve as the clinical lead for the hospitalist team
Provide day-to-day operational oversight and clinical support
Assist with onboarding and mentoring of new providers
Participate in quality improvement, utilization management, and patient safety initiatives
Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing, and medical staff committees
Support implementation of clinical protocols, policies, and best practices
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Eligible for or licensed to practice in Indiana
Prior hospitalist experience required
Leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
