Onsite Requirements: A minimum of two weeks per month for the first six months, reducing to a minimum of one week per month thereafter
We’re recruiting a Digital Plant Engineer to support a major greenfield pharmaceutical manufacturing project in Indiana, covering small molecules, biologics and nucleic acid therapies.
Embedded within the Automation Project Team, you’ll connect manufacturing processes, automation systems and digital platforms, ensuring solutions meet operational, facility and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:- Contribute to the Digital Plant strategy, use cases and data architecture.
- Lead data-flow mapping and translate manufacturing needs into digital requirements.
- Support automation-to-MES integration, historian delivery and PAT platforms.
- Contribute to site data infrastructure, including AVEVA PI and Log Mate.
- Work across Automation, Process Engineering, Operations and IT to deliver integrated solutions.
- Ensure alignment with GMP, data-integrity and computer-system-validation requirements.
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical API/bulk manufacturing.
- Strong automation and OT background, including DCS engineering and batch manufacturing.
- Previous delivery experience on large pharmaceutical automation projects.
- Experience with DeltaV Batch DCS.
- Strong understanding of GMP and computer-system-validation principles.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- MES and AVEVA PI experience preferred.
