Processing Operator – 2nd Shift
Location:
Lebanon, IN. Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
Base pay: $24.00 per hour. Shift differential: $1.00 per hour. Payment weekly.
Responsibilities- Operate a variety of process equipment with varying degrees of automation.
- Read and follow process control instructions, formula recipes, and procedures (including completing paperwork).
- Ensure product quality by using the correct amounts of high‑quality raw materials.
- Apply sanitary practices per GMP and perform equipment washouts.
- Maintain compliance with corporate food‑safety standards, food‑safety culture, quality, and facility cleanliness.
- Coordinate with production personnel to transfer product to the packaging lines.
- Prepare raw materials for processing.
- Assist in cleaning, maintaining, and inventorying raw material storage areas.
- Operate a forklift to retrieve raw materials (optional; license required).
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Produce contamination‑free products, follow all security and GMP policies, report suspicious activities, and continuously inspect work areas for contamination risks.
- High school diploma, GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
- Basic math skills for measuring weight, volume, and distance (addition, subtraction of two‑digit numbers, multiplication, and division in tens and hundreds).
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lb. (occasionally up to 100 lb.).
- Frequently stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and hear.
- Optional forklift operation licensed; forklift license required if operating.
- Strong reading and basic language skills; can read limited two‑ and three‑syllable words, recognize similarities and differences, and speak simple sentences.
- Common sense reasoning to carry out simple one‑ or two‑step instructions and handle standardized situations with few variables.
- Stand, use hands and fingers, handle, feel, and reach frequently.
- Walk frequently; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally; speak and hear.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lb. regularly; occasionally lift or move up to 100 lb.
- Maintain constant alertness and safe work practices, perform tasks requiring high cognitive function and judgment, act promptly to changing operating conditions, and cope with sudden changes, emergencies, or alarms.
