Production Associate – 2nd Shift

Job SummaryProduction Associates may be trained in several areas of the production floor, including:
Bag Inspector – Ensures integrity of bag seals and verifies date codes after product is formed and filled
Block Opening – Removes block envelopes from fish blocks and keeps pace with the production line
Culler / Inspector – Inspects product and removes rejects during portion or stick production
Cutter – Fills cutter pockets with product to maintain production flow
Trim Collection – Collects, measures, and records rejected product according to quality requirements
Palletizer – Hand-stacks finished product onto pallets
Batter / Breader – Maintains proper operating levels for batter and breader applicators
Additional areas include frying and packaging operations. One area of the facility requires opening and dumping 65-pound fish blocks, briefly microwaving them, and feeding product into machines for proportioning and further cutting.

PayStarting pay while training
$21.00/hour once moved to 2nd shift
+$1.00/hour increase upon hire-on
Additional pay increases after hire:
+$0.25 after 3 months
+$0.25 after 6 months
+$1.00 after 1 year
Ability to perform various production floor positions
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to follow Lockout/Tagout procedures, as applicable
Ability to work positively with all departments and team members
Basic math and measurement skills
Basic computer skills
Reliable and consistent attendance
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment after training, if required
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours
Ability to follow all GMP, safety, and PPE requirements
Willingness to learn multiple functions and perform other duties as assigned
